Liqueur obtained from the infusion of organically grown lemons peels ripened in the hot Sicilian sun which gives the product an unmistakable color and an intense aroma. Today as yesterday, it is a very demanding production that forces farmers to continually defend the fruits from the brackish wind and from not always favorable weather conditions.
Thanks to its particular organoleptic properties, in fact, Sicilian lemon is a highly sought-after raw material for the production of typical sweets, ice creams and liqueurs. Undoubtedly the most characteristic product obtained is limoncello, a liqueur produced for years in this area, obtained with the use of only natural ingredients which are precisely: peel of fresh organically grown lemons, granulated sugar, alcohol and water in doses that respect the traditional recipes of local families, who have always been dedicated to the preparation of lemon liqueur.
