What is Honeydew Honey

Honeydew honey, unlike other types of honey, has a darker amber color and a more aromatic taste, slightly bitter that makes it unmistakable at first glance. As mentioned previously honeydew honey isn’t produced by bees but comes from honeydew, a sugary substance with low protein content. It is in turn produced by unique insects that feed on plant sap that, later at a time, will be recycled and modified by ants and bees, producing a product very similar to nectar honey.

Let’s see them together:
Antibiotic action: every one agrees that honeydew honey represents an excellent natural antibiotic capable of fighting numerous bacteria, especially those that have developed resistance to classic antibiotics.
Anti-inflammatory action: always used to relieve respiratory problems such as sore throat, cough, pharyngitis or gum infection.
Intestinal flora regulator: the oligosaccharides present in honeydew boost the growth or the so-called good bacteria inside the intestine to favor the intestinal flora balance and the nourishment of a healthy digestive system.
Energizing action: thanks to its numerous mineral salts, honeydew honey turns out to be an excellent energizer that strengthens the nervous system and, at the same time, it’s very useful for those who practice any type of physical activity, since it allows a rapid recovery of the level of mineral salts.
